About Me

I am a proud Southern Jew who transitioned from a career in finance to pursue cantorial ordination at Hebrew Union College six years ago. After graduating with a BA in Psychology and minor in vocal performance from Emory University, I fell in love with volunteering in my small-town, lay-led congregation in Fort Mill, SC. This experience opened my eyes to my true purpose: Jewish music and communal, Jewish leadership were where my heart truly belonged.

My mom loves to say that I was singing before I could talk, and today I feel that my voice is at its peak, both musically and spiritually. Music has always been my clearest pathway into Judaism. It is how we carry our history forward, how we give voice to our hopes and sorrows, and how we strengthen and sustain our communities. Helping others access that power through prayer and song is the deepest privilege of my life.

I am currently on track to receive dual ordination as a Rabbi-Cantor in Spring 2026. My rabbinical education has profoundly enriched my cantorial training, and vice versa, grounding my musical leadership in deep text study, sharpening my pastoral sensitivity, and expanding my understanding of the spiritual needs of a diverse Jewish community. Learning to steward both the heart and the mind of the tradition has deepened the kavannah with which I approach every moment of prayer, teaching, and song.

Outside the classroom and the sanctuary, I cherish opportunities to serve and grow. I volunteer at HUC’s soup kitchen, and I thrive on exploring new places, indulging in musical theatre, ballroom dancing, and embracing lifelong learning. These passions continually enrich the spirit and joy I bring to my clergy work.
